Pediatricians
As Hillary suggested in her email, a few of us have been looking for a pediatrician with good references. I've been desperately perusing our Provider List, but am overwhelmed by the choices. Can anyone reccommend a good one? I'm just looking for a doctor who is personable, readily answers questions, and has a great rapport with the kids. Thanks!

I have used Bay Area Pediatrics with all of my children and I just love them. I personally use Dr. Twining, but there are 5 physician's in the practice. If you want more information, let me know. Their website is www.bayareapedi.com.
I was recommened to Dr. Bellah when we moved here and have been very, very happy with him. He is very thorough, patient and respectful of your thoughts and opinions as a parent. I have also never had to wait the few times I've been there.
Once when I called the office number at night, after 10 p.m., Dr. Bellah personally answered the phone and answered the question I had - I didn't even have to page him or go through a nurse first.
He is over in Nassau Bay.
We use Clear Lake Pediatrics off of Hwy 3 & Bay Area in Webster. I personally use Dr. Pocsik and she is amazing. She is one of those docs that believe that you know your child best and is not a med pusher, but on the other hand if you feel something is wrong, she never questions your intuition...and she dresses like an 80's punk rocker.

I use Dr. Quillin for all my kids. He's great with the kids! & He's even taught me a thing or two during exams. Great w/questions & answers and very personable. He's over by Clear Lake Hospital @ The Children's Clinic.
I agree with Emily....Maggie has been using Dr. Pocsik since she was an infant. She is now 13 and Dr. Pocsik is wonderful with her still. She discuss the changes in her body and horemones etc... She was super with her as a baby and continues to be super with her as a teenager. If you are looking for someone long term...I'd recommend her!

I work with all of the Pediatricians mentioned at Clear Lake Newborn Nursery. Dr. Pocsik is very thorough and "OCD" a perfect pediatrician. Dr. Quillin is very friendly, good but casual. I do take my kids to him because of a recommendation. I have yet to see him in an office visit because I always get Dr. Thomas instead also friendly and informative. This group calls me back quickly and is easy to make appointments with.
