Empty Baby Food Jars

Does anyone need empty baby food jars for any crafts, projects or anything? I have quite a few of them and thought I'd ask here before I get rid of them. I have all three sizes.

Puppy Love

Our neighbors are foster a dog that they found and she is looking for a good family. They took her to the vet and she is healthy, is very sweet, house broken and from what I have seen is very tolerant of kids (Eliza put that to the test).

Info

+She may be part King Charles Spaniel.
+She is 11-12 lbs. and between 1-2 years old.
+We have not been able to locate her owners.
+She is heart worm negative.
+She has not been spayed.
+She is very hungry for love, but is very well behaved.
+She is quiet, but happy.
+She gets along well with other dogs… she was found running with a Blue Heeler and has played well with our dog also..
+She gets along well with children.

Homemade Baby Food

Cherise contacted me about how to make homemade baby food and we are going to get together pretty soon so she can learn. I know there are several in the ward who make their own, but if any new moms want to join us and learn, just drop me an email. Its really easy and very economical and all you need is a blender or food processor.

With one of my kids I tracked the cost and was about a 60% savings, plus you more control over what you are feeding your kiddos. If you are interested, start saving the gerber plastic babyfood containers - they work great in the freezer.

Here is a great general info link

Cheap Chocolate Chips

Just a heads up...

If anyone needs chocolate chips, the Walmart at FM 646 has the big bags of Nestle chocolate chips on clearance for $1 each (marked down from $4-something each). They had lots of them when I was there earlier today, both semi-sweet (24 oz. bags) and milk chocolate (23 oz. bags). They're on their own little clearance display over near the meat section.

Be sure to check the expiration dates - some expire sooner than others. The milk chocolate chips I bought expire Nov. 2009 and the semi-sweet ones I bought don't expire until Aug. 2010.

Walgreens Easy Saver

Ladies,

In case you don't know Walgreen's prints a "Easy Saver" catalog every month (its a little pamphlet next to their weekly sale bill). Typically they have 1-5 free items. On a usual month I can walk out with around $15-20 worth of free products, on a good month $30-40. Most months the free products are things like shampoo, OTC meds, toothpaste, toothbrushes, makeup, and some random things. Last year I got $200 back it rebates and thier rebates are very reliable and typically are back to you within 6 weeks.

You can get your rebate"
1. as a check
2. as a walgreens gift card (get your rebate about plus 10%)

Now you can file your rebate online at walgreens.com and its a matter of submitting the reference number on the receipt and submitting.

This month the freebies are:

Mens Axe shampoo or styling product
