Christmas Dinner & Dance 6pm Sat. Dec 11

The kids crafts will be setup 5:45-6:15, in the
Young Men & Women's room.

The dinner will be partially catered by Dickinson BBQ and partly by ward members.
(Because I hear we have some mean turkey baking machines in the ward!)

You will have an opportunity to write down a "gift to Christ," a personal or family goal to follow the Savior. We will collect and keep a time capsule of these goals.

After the show, we will dance to Christmas tunes and favorites!

Brenham Blue Bell Guided Tours

Girl's Night

Preschool Field Trip

On Thursday, March 11th, two preschool cooperatives from the ward will be taking a trip to the Alvin Bayou Wildlife Park. If we have 15 people or more, we will be able to have a discounted ticket rate of $6 per person over the age of 2. The trip will take place in the morning, with the exact time TBA. If you are interested in participating, please let us know, so that you can be included in the trip!

I am sure there are a few of you out there that share my obsession of knowing precisely where my pennies are (at least should be :)

After doing some research we started using Mint.com. Its a free service, legit and secure to manage finances and assets. You can link up all of your accounts and it provides a live feed of all transactions. And I LOVE that on one page I can see all my bank accounts, credit card, students loans, long and short term investments and property assets.

It automatically sorts your transactions (you can also set up your own parameters) or change what you don't like.

Anyway thought it was a great tool and kind of fun (if you consider budgeting...well fun)

Good Deal @ Target

Target is getting rid of their bulk items in the back of the store.(Target on 646) Things like toilet paper, laundry detergent, twin packs of cereal, ect. I got a box of 30 pack oatmeal for $3.88. It's $4.88 but I printed a $1 off coupon. Go to quakeroats.com and create a day to get $1 off coupon. Also for the cereal there is a $1.50 off coupon at coupons.com. Not "screaming good" deals but good!

Eat At Home Challenge

I thought I would share one of my eat at home meals for this week. I had a can of crescent rolls, chicken, cream cheese. Here's what I came up with...

4 chicken breasts forzen
1 8oz cream cheese
1 packet Italian dressing mix (maybe you could substitute the actual dressing?)
1 can cream of chicken soup
Combine soup,cream cheese,dressing. Pour over chicken in your crock pot. Cook on low 4 hrs.
Put a spoonful in each roll, roll them up and bake according to directions on package.
I also rolled mine in bread crumbs I had on hand.

And here they are...


I had some of the mixture left over so I will probably put it over rice or noodles another night. Yum! Share some of your meals!!

Coupons and Meal Planning

Come and learn how she takes advantage of those money-saving coupons. Sarah Goit will also share her meal planning knowledge. Join us for a round-table discussion on helpful kitchen and home tips.

Call For Gently Used Scriptures‏

We have eight young women who do not have personal scriptures and could benefit from having their own set. If any one has an old set that still has some life in them and are willing to part with them we can put them to good use. Markings are fine, just make sure the binding is intact. We can use both English and Spanish version triples and bibles.
