Needed: small jobs & teen girls clothing

There is a sister in Kemah that has four kids and is in between jobs. They are having a difficult time making ends meet. They are trying to save up enough money to rent a small trailer by Christmas. She is willing to do any small jobs for a little cash. Laundry, housecleaning, ironing, floors, etc. Even $15 or $20 jobs would help this family tremendously.

They are also in need of used clothing in good condition. I am not 100% sure on sizes but I would say size 6-10 (women) for the girls and the little boy would be 3/4T.

Room For Rent?

There is a family preparing to move to the League City area from Las Vegas, Nevada. As of now, they are still searching for a home to buy, and the husband has to report to work on December 7th. Does anyone know of any rooms for rent or short-term efficiency apartments for rent in this area?

Antique Chair Restoration

I have an antique rocking chair that belonged to my father's mother. It has suffered some damage over the years and I was wanted to have it repaired for my dad for Christmas. I am having a hard time finding someone who can do this. If any of you know of someone, I would appreciate the referral.

Activity Day Girls Service

As difficult as it may be to think about, Christmas is coming! To help with some of the stress of the holiday season, the League City Ward and Kemah Branch Activity Day Girls are offering their services, to help with at least one part of the busy season. On Tuesday, December 1st from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., the Activity Day Girls will offer FREE (you read it correctly - FREE) babysitting for those parents wishing to do a little Christmas shopping without having to bring the kids along.
