I know some of you already have preschool plans for the coming school year, but if anyone is interested in participating in a preschool for 3 year olds, let us know. Baby Shower for Wanonie Anderson

Need a night out? Join us for a girls night out for dinner to celebrate the upcoming birth of Wanonies little boy Calvin James.

This is her first shower for a boy (she didn't have one for Mark). They already have most of the big ticket items, so here is Wanonies wish list....

There will be NO lifeguard on duty so parents PLEASE keep a watchful eye on your children at all times.

In the event you are a coupon clipper like myself, you are probably well aware of the 'event' that Kroger is having tomorrow. But, in case you are not I felt compelled to announce it so that everyone has a chance to take advantage and save $$ (my favorite hobby). Drum roll please....

This Saturday ONLY, Kroger is offering Super Double Coupons, where they will double coupons up to $1.00! They typically only double up to 50 cents, so this is a fantastic event you will not want to miss!

This is a great opportunity to stock up, and you will likely score many items for free! Kroger is only allowing 1 like item per transaction, which will hopefully prevent people from clearing the shelves completely.

If there are free or very cheap items you would not normally buy, stock up anyway and donate them to a local food pantry!

Playgroup at the Park

Ladies! Come enjoy the last playgroup before the new school year starts. We will be meeting at Challenger 7 Memorial Park, beginning at 10 a.m., on Friday August 14th, Pack a picnic lunch, slather on the sunscreen, and enjoy the shaded play areas and company of other moms. Challenger Park is located at 2301 NASA Parkway in Houston. We'll see you there.

Super Service Saturday

Just a reminder to mark you calenders for our upcoming enrichment. AUGUST 29TH. We will be doing several different service projects. We will be putting back to school kits together (we will need items donated for this), packages for the troops, as well as putting together some quilts. We will be serving chicken salad sandwiches for lunch but are asking that sides and desert be potluck. We sent around a sign up last week, please keep your eyes open for that next week. Or you can email me if you would like to bring something. We would love to see everyone there!

Aloe Vera Plants

I once again have a few dozen starter Aloe Vera plants if anyone is interested. They do well inside or out, in clay soil or in pots. And they do well in the heat. Let me know how many you want and I'll bring them Sunday.

We have one loan algae eater in our tank that could sure use a new home. I have a hard time keeping a tank for an algae eater alone. So that is why we would like to give him to someone with an established tank.

Diet: All the slime you can give him! :-)

wanted: Stake Head Lifeguard - YW Camp 2010

We are searching for a sister to be our head lifeguard for yw camp next year. Jeannie Kubricht did a great job for us in the past few years but is unable to continue doing it for us. This person would need to get trained by Red Cross as a lifeguard instructor (who can train and certify girls to be lifeguards). We would pay for this individual's training out of our stake yw camp funds. She would also be responsible for training the yw who volunteer to be lifeguards (3 day training), running waterfront at yw camp and be responsible for her lifeguards during free time at yw camp. She might also be asked to help the nurse teach make-up CPR 1 morning at camp.
