Calling All Cooks

It's late afternoon, what's your plan for dinner? In an effort to alleviate the stress of dinner time, we are trying to put together a cookbook, of quick and easy recipes. What's your easiest, fastest recipe? Did you know you can brown ground beef ahead of time and freeze it until you need it? Do you have any more helpful, time-saving tips? We all know how wonderful the slow cooker is, but what's your favorite crock-pot recipe? Take a moment, and share 1 or 2 or 10, so we can all benefit from the culinary skills within the ward. Ward Choir Practice

Hey Ladies! I wanted to invite everyone to sing with the Ward Choir this Sunday in the YW room from 12-12:45pm. We really need your voices! Please come and join us. (And remember, I'll have a box of toys in the back of the room to entertain the kiddos).

If you'd like to sing with the ward choir, but haven't been able to come to a practice, please contact me, Jenny Grundberg at (817) 262-8133. I can give you a copy of the music and even a recording if you need one. All that matters is that you stand up to sing with us during Sacrament meeting on May 31st.

Please remember that we really need singers! Every voice counts! And singing beautiful music is a great way to start off your Sunday!

I play with a city league softball team and in 2 weeks, we will be starting our summer season. We are short players and I was wondering if there was anyone that would like to play. The games are on Tuesday nights and begin at 7, 8, 9, or 10pm. It is a Rookie league, so if you know how to play softball, you have the skill required to play in the league. :) Its all in fun and its a great group of people. Nursery Provided

Hey all,

I wanted to offer my services for those of you who wanted to attend the funeral but won't be able to due to children. I will be providing a nursery during the funeral. Please let me know if 1. you will be taking advantage of this & 2. if you are willing to help (this is only needed if I get more than 8-10 kids-depending on ages).

I'll be doing a movie & some games & snacks - so if your kids want to bring their blankets and pillows, that would be great.

Memory Book

The Young Women Presidency would like to put together a memory book for Becca and Jess. Linda was a wonderful, vibrant woman and she will be greatly missed by many. There are so many stories and memories that we all have of her and we hope people are willing to share them with her daughters.

We are putting together stationary and a basket for the viewing and funeral for people to write down memories or drop a note of comfort to the girls. But if would like a little more time to think, please feel free to email your memories to me at fenren03@hotmail.com AND if you have any photos of Linda of over the years send them this way (you can scan them in or drop them off at the house).

Notes and letters can be a short paragraph or as long as you want. Feel free to sign your name or leave it anonymous. Also if you are new and didn't know Linda that well and would like to submit a poem or scripture that would be great.

We would like all information in by Friday, but the sooner the better. Hopefully, I can then set the templates set this weekend and have a hard-bound book printed by mid next week.

Hello sisters. I hope you all are having a wonderful week.

Chelle has sujested that being that May is “Women’s Health Awareness” month, we should show our support for Linda Bertolino by wearing a "Red Hat". I think this is a wonderful idea and plan to do the same. This can be any kind of hat, Big brim, ball cap, skull cap or even a flower. All those who come wearing a Red Hat will be in a picture to give to Linda and the girls.
